Nathan that is a very scary map.

Can anything be done about this situation in the US or is it too little to late?

I am so glad Australia took action when it did and banned semi-automatic rifles after a spate of mass shootings (not schools). We are currently trying to have semi-automatic handguns banned as well.

MANY thing would have to change and be passed for Gun Control to move any further than it has. The right to bear arms is one of the biggies in our Constitution and closely and passionately tied to the strong patriotism of millions of Americans. Not to mention that there is a rampant phobia that Gun Control leads away from Democracy and Capitalism and more toward socialism and or fascism. Yet we do have a major issue don't we...

Yes I am afraid you do have a major issue and it appears it maybe bigger than some may think.
